Personally, I am still on the fence about this one.  In my experiance, I haven't had much luck in just keeping the fob in my pocket.  Most of the time, I have to put it in the cup-holder for it to register.  Other times, I can be walking around the car and the little green light is illuminated.

Any funky fob stories out there?

It's a neat little gadget but sometimes it can be troublesome. I think it has more good than goods than bads so I will say I like it

Cool feature so far in my experience, but yes the preferred location for the key fob is in the cup-holder.  Problem I have is with the proximity sensor stuff, and how to know that the car is really locked up when I leave it.

Great little device, however you must keep up with it. Started the engine, my wife requested I change my pants, left her in the car with the engine running. I forgot to remove the key fob from my pants. We arrived at the shopping center, I turned off the ignition, well I am sure you Know the rest of the story. Thanks to a good neighbor who had a spare key to our house to retrieve my pants and the FOB.  What a day.

There must be great variability in signal strength.  Pay attention to what else is in the pocket with the fob and if your body is between the fob and the car.

I found the fob works fine in either pants pocket with the exception that my right pocket is close enough to the car when I close the door so I get the 3 beeps saying I left it in the car.  I generally don't have any other metal in my pocket with the fob.

I get the same beeps if my fob is in my right pocket as well. I do like the keyless start!
