Can someone tell me the correct valve covers for a 67 base engine (327/300)? I purchase my Vette new and to the best of my memory the ones on the car are original but I don’t have anything to confirm. The OEM in part catalogs and pictures in restro books show metal, orange with an insert in the center for the 337/300 decal. Mine are metal, orange with “Chevrolet” lettering and no insert.

The car has never been out of my possession and I don’t recall ever replacing the covers. I am considering replacing what I have with OEM replacements unless I can find out if the ones I have were used on some 67’s.

According to the Technical Reference Guide by Noland Adams, your car already has the "correct" valve covers.

The problem with a car with factory original parts is getting judges to agree, which is why I don't intend have my car judged, but I bag all the original parts I replace to improve the performance and reliability.
