my air conditioner does not cool my car. it is not a factory installed but one that was added.any solutions? 1998 corvette

I am having a hard time imagining a 1998 without climate control, but...
First of all does it blow cold air? If not have it check by an AC guy.
You could try tinting your windows. This will reduce the heat from the sun and make it cooler in he car.
