I picked up a 427 67 vette and it runs like crap. I will probably rebuild the 750 holley but definitely want to upgrade to a new HEI with tach drive distributor.  What would you recommend,

Also it has been suggested that i replace the distributor, intake, and carberator. I would like to make a good decision and make this car a good driver.
What is the opinion on this.

Thank you very much

Keep the old style distrib.  and convert it to electronic with a petronic or crane conversion kits.  Use a high out put coil and it will fire better than HEI and you still have your tach drive and original distrib.  And less cost.  Summit has both.  I have the pertronic in my 66 and love it.  No more points and it looks original.
Intake and Carb?  Depends on cam and and if your going to the track.  750 Vac. secondary for the street will work fine.
