Has anyone done this, or know how to.   I have a bypass comming and hate to have it done if it isn't hard to do, or can be done by a layman. The vette is a 2000 droptop with 18000 mi.

Hello
We have done many of these at are shop.Just pull the steering wheel and the air bag cam,the lock wheel can then be seen,(you will need a tool you can get at autozone to compress lock ring) then remove a snap ring the old steering lock comes off and the new one gos on.I can do it in less then and hour.the 1997/99 come with a relay that gos in the pass side foot well.

What about a column lock replacement for a 2001 Z06?  It's back in the shop for a second time with the problem.  How difficult is the self-install of the replacement kit and where is the best source for the product?  Thanks...WR
