I have a 1976 corvette that looks amazing with one flaw, spider crack. Without striping the whole car and painting it, I was wondering if there is anyone who knows touch up the spider cracks?
It looks like this:

The problem is that a spider crack is just that - a crack. If you fill the crack with paint, it's just a matter of time before the paint shrinks down into the crack and shows it again. The photos are not coming up for me, but these cracks are more than just a topcoat issue. They form way down beneath the primer in the fiberglass itself. This is what has to be addressed in the repair, so stripping the paint is the first step in a proper repair.
