Just replaced a new (rebuilt) set of injectors on a 1989 Corvette for a friend. It has a L98 engine. The old injectors were all clogged due to someone placing some sort of sugar substance like coke in the tank. His car would not start. I helped him take off the top part plenum, intake pipes and fuel rail. Installed new gaskets and injectors. Now it does start, but when turning the key fuel drips out from the throttle body. Not sure at this point if one of the injectors is stuck or what. We were thinking of removing the connections to each injector and then placing one at a time on to see if this is the problem. I know that #8 wire to the plus is in bad shape and is possibly causing a backfire. Went over all connections and hose and they are in place. No leaks from the fuel rail or injector gromments.
I have been working on cars as a hobby for years, but this one has me really stumped. Anyone with knowledge or even experienced a similar problem please let me know. This is very frustrating especially after all the work that was already put into the car - geting to some of the bolts is a nightmare to say the least.

Hello
There should not be any fuel at the throttle body, And the injector wiring does not matter, In 89 It's uses a batch fire injector ( they all fire at the same time), Are you sure it's not coolant leaking from the throttle body?

Hello and thank you for the reply. It is gas for sure. I pulled the hose off the fuel pressure regulator that goes into the plenum and fuel was coming out - not dripping but a strong stream.
Maybe the diaphragm in the regulator is bad? Not sure at this point. This is a puzzler for sure.
