Hello all......
I need your advice. I was driving around and ran across a 1975 stingray. It is black, needs new paint, factory 4 speed. Has ac. No power windows/locks or seats. Clock does not work, and he said the tach just quit working within the last couple of months. Claims to have 44,000 orginal miles. All the proof he has is on the title which reads 44,000. Interior is mint, which kind of leads to believe it could possibly be. Under the hood was pretty dirty though. I do not know crap about corvetts though. Car has M/T valve covers on them with chevrolet on them inside of a circle. Was that orginal? He said his bottom dollar is $8500.00. Deal or no deal?? What do you guys think. It does need a good tune up. When I got on it the first time, the car shot sideways on me, and the second it stalled before it took off.

Keep looking!  I just bought a 75 with rebuilt engine, tranny and suspension. New interior and exhaust for $13K

Shows 49,000 on the speedo. I bought it from a shop in NJ that only handles Vettes and they are hand picked by the owner.  I called the previous owner and got more information on the rebuild etc but he had no documentation.  Key before buying any older Vette is to try and trace the history. Seems to me you would spend more time in the repair shop than on the road.
