my vette just had new brakes put on and it was doing just fine untill the other day i notice when i first crank it up and when i put it in gear the brakes get hard and after it warms up there fine do you think there could be air in the brake lines

no... it is probably the power brake booster ....  or more than likely... the little black filter looking thing in the vacuum supply line to the power brake booster...

it is not actually a filter... it is a carbon filled device... designed to catch the hydrocarbons before they get into the booster ...    they will soften the components in it...

what happens is they get clogged... restricting the vacuum .. so it takes longer to remove the atmosphere from the booster...
