when I switch my heat on once I move from my off position, the car dies. anybody have a clue?

what color is your car?????
if it is a silver car... i would imagine.. that it is dirty battery cables...
if it is a black car... i would imagine that the bulkhead connector at the firewall is burned
if it is a green car... i would imagine that the wires on the top of the starter are loose... and when you turn the fan on... it pulls more power than the loose connection can pass...
if it is any other color.. you really need to post what color car is it... so there will be less guessing... even the year it was first painted.. would be a help...
