I am in the process of rebuilding a 1972 Corvette and have the steering column removed. The previous owner used a band clamp to attach a tachometer to the plastic cone on the column. The use of the clamp distorted the cone so I would like to replace it however, I am at a loss as how to remove the damaged one in order to replace it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. George
