Has anyone come across a build on an L-36 Big Block? I'm planning on a rebuild for my numbers matching car and I can't recall coming across an article outlinig a project on this engine. There was an interesting article about a re build on Rick Stoner's L-71( Westech )a year or so ago. I'm going to re do the original motor but would like to modernize it a bit.

L36.. 325Hp 396,.????   i would probably go to the larger push rods and guide plates.. nobody will know... except you... i did put an H230 grind in a 396 in a 67 chevelle SS396...  ran  great.. even better than the original...

one more thing..    you are probably going to want to rebuild the heads... change the valve guides.. be sure to specify that the lube the valve stems with stay lube assy lube... not just motor oil...  the stay lube has moly and graphite in it.. so it stays in place and continues to lube ...

The L-36 is the 427 390 horse motor. Thanks for the comments.
