i would think this 3m product would work...
it is usually applied with a spray gun.. with a pressure pot and the fan spray turned off... so a just barely wiggling shot of glue is sprayed out... the pressure is also kept low...

i think it may also come in spray cans... ... whats nice about 3m spray cans.. they have adjustable nozzle on many of their spray adhesives cans..
harbor freight also has cheep pressure pot spray gun sets...

because the needle on the spray gun closes tight... you really don't have to clean the glue out after every use if you use it every day..
you could also use one of the really cheep gravity feed spray guns...
but it is mostly the pressure pot pushing the glue out the retracted needle that does the best job... without overspray...
special effects painters also use similar gun setups. to put real looking cobwebs up on things... sending out a rubber cement string from the end of the gun... looks right on camera... think low pressure... almost no air flow through the gun... so it does not blow the stream of rubber cement apart...

hey, thanks for the info. The 3m glue I used comes in a spray can and appears to have worked fine. I believe it is part #08090. Thanks
