I am in the need of a brake job and was looking for some insights on do's and doin'ts. I will have a local shop do the work. Any info will help.

A little more info would be helpful for your question, but I'll say DO go with the new O-ring calipers and DON'T use silicone fluid. Also, make sure your local shop knows the ins and outs of classic Corvettes. They might not know the rotors are riveted on from the factory and that they don't need to be riveted back on after they are turned or replaced. Just stuff like that.

I am getting some conflicting info on weather or not the front rotors can be turned. The service manual I have says not to and my mechanic says it is ok. Any pros or cons to this?
