I am after a little bit of information on the 1982 Corvette seat hinges. I am of the understanding that the seat hinges have a centrifugal type weight that activates upon sudden deceleration, impact or on an incline. The resulting activation of the weights is that the seats are locked in the up-right position. Can any-one help me confirm that this is correct?

i know the seat belt retractors have that feature...
inertial locks.. preventing the extension of the seat belts when the pendulum is NOT perfectly still and centered...
could the seats have this feature????? i looked through an online catalog.. i could not see that feature shown except in the seat belts...
i could be totally wrong..

Thanks Wayne for your reply, I had a quick look tonight and there are inertial locks in the hinges. They seem quite free to move so hopefully they work.
