I think this is a straight forward operation but I want to make sure it is the right way. Help
first off.... why are you changing the ECM????????they do go bad once in a while... if you have issues with your car.. the way it runs... i would like you to post the symptoms here... and it is usually NOT THE ECM....it can be the IGNITION Switch... it can be the WRONG alternator installed... that causes the car to stall at idle when coming to a stop..it can be the throttle shaft in the throttle body that the housing shaft bore has worn and is causing the TPS to read different issues.. like stalling and high idle.. poor idle stability... poor fuel economy...ground wires are a major issue on TPI motors also... each ground wire connects a different group of devices... have one thats disconnected... you can have issues that will drive you crazy...so.. before you change anything... you will want to post the issues.. .i and several other forum members can work with you to get through it..
